Description As far as I'm concerned, this will always be a work-in-progress.Β  As it is, she still needs a good blackwash, red details on the boots, and other various touches.

Still, wore the suit for the first time in public and had a blast!

What model did you use to reference this? Is this a particular Spartan?

No, this wasn't any particular Spartan.Β  I just picked out the permutations I wanted to make and then gave her a call-tag (it's the one I use in multiplayer.)

Ah, I see. Do you mind telling me how you got the references? (Like, did you just make the suit in the game and just looked at that or... ) I'm wanting to build my own white Spartan suit, and this design isΒ perfect toΒ how I would like it to look (or did you make up a lot of things? Cause if so that is amazing! )

A lot of the references were just google images and other costume projects that I followed.Β  Some of the pieces were referenced using the pepakura designer program and corresponding files that I got through the 405th website.

The only thing I did make up was the underside of the forearm pieces because I chose a forearm design from a concept page, and all that had been sketched on the page was the top.Β  I couldn't find other references to that concept design, so I finished them up on my own.

Thank you! ^^

Ah I see, okay. That makes sense Β  (Sorry for such a late reply! )

I took a look at your work in progress pictures of this, and how it was built started to make a lot more sense. Hope that doesn't bother you
Thank you very much for your answers. There is one more little thing I'd like to ask though. What helmet model did you use for the helmet? It looks like a normal Mjolnir mark 5 style, but a bit more round. I've looked up lists of helmets everywhere and haven't found any that match yours. Do you know which type you picked? Thanks again

No worries!Β  I like to help out where I can.

The helmet was intended to be a Mark VI Classic from Halo 4, but I still don't like how it turned out. (looks to me like it's covered in fondant..) Β  I never found files for it, so it was just a scratch build directly from reference pictures I found with Google.Β

I ended up just making a Wetwork helmet for my suit instead, and have plans to make a regular Mark VI to match my suit, too.

Mark VI Classic.... Oh my gosh I googled that and found it! Thank you so much!

I saw your finished suit, that looks so awesome. Is that your first time making a Spartan suit? I'm so jealous of your talents! Here's hoping I can make mine look at least half as good XD Thank you again so much for your help!

No problem!Β  Yes, this was my first suit; practice for the Meta suit that I made for my son.

Good luck!

Your suit looks totally amazing I'm currently working on my own Spartan armor with a foam base, any tips and how did you do the visor, make it or buy it? (if you bought it where did you get the material because I've been looking for something that would work for a visor for me but haven't found anything useful)

The heat gun has been my biggest friend in some instances, if you're not using it already.Β  The visor I got at a local motorcycle parts store for like $30, then cut it with my dremel to fit the opening.Β  You can find a bunch of them on eBay, also...just do a search for motorcycle visors.Β  They come in a bunch of colors, and they aren't as expensive as one might think. ^^Β

If you have anything to ask, I'll be happy to help to the best of my ability.

Wow very impressive work! Very nice job on the Techsuit portion going down the front of your torso and pelvis, very well done
Also, did you do this as a foam scratch build? Or did you use good ole Pepakura/ fiberglass/ rondo?

Either way, thats a killer build Sardave

Thank you very much!Β  This was a foam scratch build.Β  I started off trying to modify pep templates, but that only confused me.Β  Scratch is much easier to me.Β

The tech suit is a vinyl thing with the spine permanently attached, and the texture was added using a decorative stitch on my sewing machine.Β  Can't see it in this pic of course, but it's there.Β  The hip protection has yet to be added, but I just need to get more of the white vinyl to make em.

Thanks again!
