bahhhh thank you so much Saki! ;u;
I think it's because I loosened up a lot! I used to be obsessed with perfect lineart, perfect curves, perfect values...but I found out that it was holding me back. Now here I am! >u>

I love the way you colored her skin, here! I can't do noses to save my life. Just how do you do it, I have no idea. ;-;

NADIA IT'S YOU AHH I DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD A DEVIANTART HI ;v;
And thank you!
I did a few self-portraits and portraits in general with pencil, and with pencil, you really have to be careful with your values. After a while, you know where the darkest areas are, and where the light hits.
With noses, they're pretty prominent, and they catch a lot of light in the middle.
Stare at your family photos, or just creepily stare at people's faces and then that info will flow into your head!! (~o3o)~

HAI~
You're easy to recognize because your UN is the same, and you have a consistent style. ^^
Me, on the other hand...not so much. So that's understandable, haha. xD
I tend to slack on values and stuff always looks flat, buhuh.
Thanks for the tips!
Creepy face staring, haha. Maybe that's what I'm missing. >D

consistent style what >u> pff i'm still struggling with that!
You definitely have a style though. @o@ You have a face style and coloring style for sure!
I think the trick is not relying on using really dark values and using different COLORS instead of...colors in the same spectrum if that makes any sense? Like in this drawing I don't use brown to shade her skin. I use reds and oranges.
But of course, the real trick is experimenting and not being afraid of trying out colors. ;v;
Creepy face staring definitely helps. Not even kidding. >v>;;;;;;;;; /shot

You're consistent enough!
Well...I don't have a coloring style I'm totally satisfied with, ehhe. xD
I used to use various colors in coloring before I switched completely to SAI! I'm not sure why I stopped. :c That's a good tip~ I'll just try to be more fearless with colors. ^^
Haha, okay. I'll make a note to self and stare intently at peoples' noses from now on.
I'm kidding
...somewhat. xD
