i dunno if this is a comic or if it just goes under 'anime'. bah.spent most of yesterday helping paint jessicar's new livingroom. there was a lot of singing along to ABBA and disney and flogging molly, etc. and then shaun of the dead was on today, so you get this. Cade and Kalaya react a bit more reasonably to things than Sasha, apparently. and i wouldn't feel bad for whomever they're talking about. the textures are there to trick you into thinking it's done.
from left to right, Sasha is mine, Cade belongs to , and Kalaya is 's. art is mine, please no using chars/image without permission, etc thanks. faving w/o commenting is boo, yadda.

ummm. i'm going to try to put this politely because you did ask and everything and obviously didn't mean any offense, but people's characters are their own creations. you shouldn't try to take something that someone made representing their own creations, or another person's creations and rehash it into your own thing. it's unoriginal and not very respectful to the original artist/creators of the characters. people's original works/characters tend to be pretty important to them, and asking to modify their work to make it yours is, IMHO, kind of inappropriate. it's like going 'oh wow i really like these photos of you and your family at the grand canyon, can i super-impose myself and my friends over you so it looks like we were there?' i know it's a weird analogy but the idea behind it is the same, trying to take something someone else made and put yourself into it because you happen to like it, even though it is not actually related to you.
if people specifically make something and say on it 'here you go guys, do whatever you'd like with this', then that's a whole 'nother story.
this answer was probably way too long for the original question. but. yea. people spend a lot of time and effort on their art/characters, and unless otherwise noted they don't generally post them online so that people can play coloring-book with them.

Sorry if it sounded like I've offended you, which I do not, I merely asked permission first. I certainly was going to give you credit on your original....
I learned a long while ago that here in the dA environment, you must ask permission of the owner(s) of their original artwork before you decide to want to colour/recolour it. Indeed, if you don't ask first, they might react badly to your efforts and end up reporting your work for lack of permission for re-editing it.
Believe it, I learned that the hard way!
A simple answer from you one way or the other would've sufficed here.
That being said, I do interpret your answer as "flattering offer, but no thanks". Fair enough.

my point was more that you shouldn't really be asking people if you can edit their images/characters to make them your own in the first place. it's disrespectful to their creation (once again excluding art that is openly made for people to mess with).
but whatever works. as long as you're asking people first. that's the important part.

I love how you drew Cade's hair, their expressions, and Sasha's clever remarks. Also Shaun of the Dead is a super rad movie. I feel guilty for saying exactly what every other commenter has, sorry about that...uhm I also like Sasha's hoodie and how you draw ears, and...dammit I'm used to faving and running D: I also like the little shinies on their cheeks, excuse me for sounding like a five-year-old. I really love when you draw these three, it's always fun to see their expressions.

Here I was thinking from the thumbnail preview that this was going to be about art thieves, the fate that should befall them, and the character's reactions to seeing such an event. I guess their reaction was something from the movie then?

This is just wonderful, I love how you did the eyes to each of their expressions. Especially for Sasha X3. She has that casual, not to surprised, look in her eyes while Cad and Kayla have taht shocked look with the tiny iris.
Sasha should be a detective for solving such puzzling things X3.
I like how you did the texture in each panel and how you spaced out the last panel.

The expressions of the three are wonderful in both panels.
Kayla's look of abject horror, Cade's look of disgust, and Sasha just has a curiously puzzled look upon her brow.
I am curious if there is any particular reason to the background in the first panel. To me it looks like blood stains on a wall, but I could just be imagining things.
To wrap up my comment I will argue what Sasha said. I do not believe it were the fall that kilt im, but rather the sudden stop at the end of the fall. If I am doomed to the seventh circle of hell for arguing such things then I apologize and accept the suffering that will be bestowed upon me.

What tool did u use to make the big to small poka dot thingys in the second panel?

gradient fill from white to a dark red
filters > pixilate > colorize halftone. size set to 8, the other 4 set to 45. in photoshop at least. (over version 7 i believe)
