Naruto 579 is out and i would say this is so....UNEXPECTED!* The cover page says the next movie "Road to Ninja" will be shown on July 28, 2012 and Rock Lee might have his own animae TV show.
* The colored panel was so cute. Naruto enjoys seeing kurama's huge bubble from kurama's nose (XD), sakura got angry as she points her finger to sleeping kurama (XD), Kakashi's curiously looks up at kurama and sai came closer to paint. There are lot of symbols in this panel (example statue toad in the balcony, 3 flying birds above kurama and holding the house while sleeping, etc). It is like, kurama became the part of Konoha. Love to see team 7 with kurama in this panel...
* Kabuto has his own version of sage mode just like Naruto. It calls ...."Evil Snake/Dragon Mode"...And guess what, his powers got from Team Taka - karin, suigetsu and jugo
* I know it!...That Karin is also part of Uzumaki clan!...Kabuto said that "people from the uzumaki clan all have RED HAIR" Does this mean that Sasori, Gaara, Gaara's dad, Fuka, Choza Akamichi and Tayuya came from Uzumaki clan??? XDXDXD
* Kabuto mentioned that he had the same abilities as Jugo. He also said that kind of ability can only be granted by self training at the Ryuchidou. So does that mean Juugo went there and trained to become a sage? it would explain why he can communicate with animals and transform into a monster.
* I've got a strange feeling that kabuto might use Anko to transform herself as a snake to fight against 2 uchiha brothers.
* Kabuto mention 3 places where to get sage modes:
1. Myobokuzan is the home of the toad summonings where Naruto, Jirayia, and Seireitou have all come here to learn Sage Mode and Senjutsu.
2. Shikkotsurin is the land of slug i believe slugs also have sage mode. Tsunade has this sage mode and i also got a strange feeling that sakura (tsunade's apprentice) might have this sage mode.
3. Ryūchidō (Dragon Cave) is a sacred place of the snakes similar to Mount Myōboku and the Humid Bone Forest. Herein lies the sacred White Snake Sage and the secret of Jūgo clan's abilities.
Overall, the chapter is cool (thanks to kabuto coz he's the one who reveals the secret of Sasuke's team taka and his powers. I really really wanted to find out about suigetsu's mysterious scroll

Officially there's no such thing as a Namikaze Clan.
Also officially he does count since he's descended from Uzumaki and any other clan relation he has does not change that fact.

True true. I think red hair for Uzumaki would come if the male who was born originally from the Uzumaki Clan, though. Since Kushina was the mother, Naruto got his father's traits, obviously. And who knows, Namikaze could be of the Sage of Six Paths since Naruto is considered to be a decedent; even if it's not an official Clan name?? Weird thought.
Oh, I recall, when he spoke to his mother, they did have a little scene showing him with red hair

Hmm, I don't remember that chapter stating that Tsunade has the Slug's Sage Mode.
In fact, just because Toads and Snakes have one, it doesn't automatically mean Slugs have one too.
In fact, considering the battle against Madara's been pushing the 5 Kages too their outmost limits (Tsunade in particular, with her Byakugou technique) and she still never used something like Sage Mode, I'd say its pretty safe to assume she doesn't have one.
Byakugou is the name of her only powerup, and its got nothing to do with Slugs.

Love the cover page! It's cute that Kurama looks like he's a member of Konoha now. 
As for Karin being a Uzumaki, that was news. It should not damper any of the Naruto/Karin shippers though, given it is likley they're long-distant cousins in the family tree, much as I see Tsunade is with Naruto. Yet we'll see whether Naruto and Karin will ever learn they're related in some way.
As for all redheads being Uzumaki's, I wouldn't bet on it. I can't see Chouji's dad being a Uzumaki, same with Kamui, and I really do not like the idea of Sasori being an Usumaki. Yet even though she's not a true redhead (she's rusty red), I like the idea of Mei Terumi being related to the Uzumaki's. Now that would be cool.

I think it was lame how he just put it out there that Naruto still has family. It really puts a hole in the "hes an orphan" thing. And it really makes him less special to the story and raises a bunch of questions. Over all the sage mode stuff is well..we all saw it coming. I get the feeling that this was intended but because Kishi seems to be wanting to end the series ASAP he isnt going to explore the potential behind it. The Uzimaki clan being alive could have been a good plot twist to explore along with the sage mode stuff.

Karin and Naruto aren't brother and sister. Plus both of Naruto's parents are dead. So I don't get how this puts a hole on the whole "he's an orphan" thing since technically he still is an orphan and the only Uzumaki in Konoha.
Karin being an Uzumaki changed absolutely nothing about Naruto's status. It only reaffirms what Kushina already mentioned about the Uzumaki Clan having spread to various places ever since their hometown was destroyed. There were bound to be other Uzumakis alive elsewhere so that's no surprise. I'm just grateful that Kishi decided to reveal at least one before the manga was over.

THe whole thing behind naruto was that he is the "one" the only reason why he was left alone was because of the fox who is the incarnation of hatred (which seems really weird that he just says "ok ill be ur friend since u know my name")If there where other Uzumaki clan members out there then it seems like they are scattered or just remnants of what once was. In which case it brings up question of y didnt they just tell naruto he came from such a clan, or recognize his potential because he has 2 vary powerful parents? It sort of doesnt mess in with well with the story set up thus far.
But it just seems like Kishi really wanted to explore a bit more but didnt because he is wrapping things up. Even that bit with the guy who had a double bloodline limit was sort of a done before it even started. And did he ever explain the whole yin yang chakera thing?

All I really see is that the Third Hokage REALLY messed up in practically everything concerning Naruto's childhood. Like Naruto could've had a much better upbringing had the Third actually stepped up and done ANYTHING for Naruto. I never really got why the Third Hokage never came clean with Naruto about his family in the first place. I mean why let the kid suffer alone? But then again we are talking about the same guy that let Orochimaru escape the Leaf Village. Guess he wasn't the best decision maker after all.

I wouldnt blame him all that much. Naruto being the 4th kid seems to be the original intent but a lot of the rest of it seems to be tacked on at the last minute. Most of his past came into the light during shippuden, which was made for fans. So kishi didnt have time to plan things out like he did with the first series of stories. Which explains some of the weird stuff that came up during the final battle. So i think that originally his mom was going to be the little girl who was in yamato's squad as a child. Instead of this weird shit that he came up with. Cause by the sounds of thing naruto sounds like he should be more important than the hyuga clan.

i think you misunderstood about jugo
kabuto and orochimaru found out that jugo's power come from Nature Energy and then decided that the best place to learn how to control this energy was ryuchido.
also, jugo's clan might have used that energy but they couldn't control it, hence why they are bersek

I think that was lame, cause now Pain is related to naruto along with the "not sakura" chick. It could have been a good plot twist if Kishi had come up with it sooner rather than towards the end to some how wrap things up.

Well, I'm sure they're just distant relatives and not that close. I thought it was kinda cool to show that Naruto's clan members are still out there. To me, it forshadows that maybe Kishi will get further into Naruto's clan in the future. Remember, his mother already told him some things about his clan and that there were still survivors. Plus it's nice to know that there's still another Uzumaki that's not dead yet. Besides, Nagato(Pain) was a very powerful person. This helps show how powerful and mysterious the Uzumaki Clan was.

i doubt that he will go further with the series. He has built up sasuke and naruto as having god like powers now, so i really dont see them going any further. Its sort of like what happened with Dragon Ball GT. They went to far and things just got silly.

Okay, let me know when someone in the series actually develops a technique that can destroy an entire planet, then, only then will I agree with you about them having "god-like powers". There are still many possibilities that Kishi could develop into the series. But I do agree with you about DBGT. That's why I never really watched it. However the Dragaon Ball series was pretty much the most successful and most popular anime series ever made. Think about it, without Dragon Ball, many of the current anime series that we come to know and love, like Naruto, wouldn't have been created.
Plus, Naruto is still just a teenager. I'm sure Kishi will continue on with his legacy further into the series if he wanted to. But who are we to question his logic? We're not the creaters of the show, therefore we can't really control how it all goes, except in our fanfics.

Pain can create a meteor and has to potential to smash it into the earth with enough force to destroy it. That constitutes god like along with being able to bring beings back from death. Though again i would like to see the series go on..but its starting to feel like Inuyasha where it was just dragging on a bit and he seems to want it to end now. I wasnt really to happy with the sudden friendship that the 9tail got with naruto after being built up as being made out of pure hate. Nit pick i know but still the fact that he is rushing things seems to indicate that he mite just want to move on to another project.
DBZ was popular and definitively helped pave the way for anime in the western world. Though i wouldnt say that with out it we wouldnt have anime. Pokemon can be held in the same light.

Okay, yeah, the meteor is one of those attacks, but I guess I should've been more specific. The meteor was able to be stopped, I meant an attack that couldn't be stopped like when kid Buu detroyed Earth. Both Goku and Vegeta weren't able to stop it, no matter what. That was the kind of attack I meant.
Plus, Tobi/Madara is the series' what, second tyranical villain? With Orochimaru being the first. Dragon Ball had many tyranical villains like Frieza, Cell, Buu, Baby, Super Android 17, and Omega Shenron. But you can count Kabuto, now that he's got Sage Powers, but Tobi/Madara is still alive. I would really like to see a villain in the Naruto series that ACTUALLY accomplishes many of his goals and kills off many of the cast, like Majin Buu. Sure, Pain destroyed the Leaf village and killed some of the side characters like Kakashi, Shizune, and the old-man frog (I forgot his name) But I'm talking about a villain that strikes real fear into all the characters in the series like how Cell and Buu did. Kinda like my Rage OC [link] .
And yes, I agree with you on what you said about there still being Anime without DBZ. The Japanese are a very smart people; I'm sure they would've come up with something sooner or later. lol

Yeah but Naruto isnt going to go to those extremes because death is semi permanent as opposed to DBZ where its really no big deal. But the fact that they have powers that are even exaggerated with in their own mythos sort of takes away from what the show originally started out as. Naruto has only 3 villains one of which didnt really need to be in it. DBZ though..well after Cell they became repetitive and pretty much copies of the previous villain.
Its starting to seem more and more like Tobi will end up being Madara's brother or Obito like most people seem to think. At this point it really doesnt matter because its the end game and there isnt room for more story.
Im sure that the series will end with the final battle being Tobi vs. Naruto/Sasuke. Sasuke will have a change of heart cause he is a tool like that. And when tobi dies Naruto will be the new hokage possibly married with hinata and sasuke will roam around trying to rebuild his clan while meeting up with karin and the others assuming they end up living in the end.

Hey, Kishi has surprised us several times in the past. He may still have something up his sleeve, we won't know. But you may be right. I totally agree with how you think the story should end with Naruto & Hinata married, Naruto the Hokage, and Sasuke being the good rogue ninja or whatever.
But we won't really know for sure until Kishi makes it. I totally understand and agree with what you're saying about the series. It's just that I'm one of those fans that want the series to continue on for a very good long time.
Only time will tell us this whole story goes on.

I would like to see the series continue also..but better written and with less ubber kill ur granny death ray ninja stuff. I like how the original series kept things to a minimum but shipuden is just making things way to over the top. There mite be some OVAs later on to help wrap up some loose ends but realistically i doubt that. And even if the series went on..it would only be to suck out as much money from it as they could. Sort of the same thing is happening to One Piece and most infamous Detective Conan.
