TO THE PEOPLE WHO DOESNT GET WHY YOU PAY SUCH AMOUNT FOR A CHARACTER DESIGN, THEN LEMME EDUCATE YOU.
Its not just the art you are paying, its the copyright to own it. Its like how Marvel super heroes creator Stan Lee being paid billions of dollars just to create a holly wood movie for his characters. For you to have the right to use the design for your intent. Im an Anime artist as well also an Architect so technical drawing skill, design and providing art services for people is what I am paid for. So if someone do not understand why people pay for your design, basically ANY DESIGN, the DESIGN SKILL as a whole, you are not an artist or a designer. There is a difference between a PASSIONATE ARTIST/DESIGNER and someone who can ONLY DRAW.

I think she's wonderful!!! I was checking out the comments and I don't get why so many people don't understand the concept of an adoptable and the price behind it. You're basically selling art, plus giving them rights to use the character in their own work. It's literally freelance illustration without a contract lol. I totally get what you do and the price. You're doing a wonderful job and more power to you for having a following and being able to sell theses great ideas that help other artists tell their own stories! Keep going and doing what you do and know that you're doing awesome work!!!

I for some reason adore how one side is color and lines and in the other you can see the difference when you had shading, lighting, etc.

Sure the character is cute and all... But I'd never pay someone- at least anywhere near this much- for basically a character design. Maybe i just don't get it because I'm not an artist.

They are not only paying for the character design but for the artwork as well,
i work really hard on them and ofc adoptables arent easy to so and arent cheap.
please do not underestimate something u dont know about;; it really makes me upset and makes me feel like my hard work worth nothing and makes me hate my work even more;; artists hardly get enough support.

At the end of the day this is a source of income for them, there are a lot of reasons someone may need to sell artwork. Hell there are entire stores dedicated to selling solely artwork, I don't see anyone questioning them for doing the exact same thing. I have the pleasure of knowing someone in person who does work like this and dam, she can be at it most of the bloody day for weeks finishing a commission. I have to call and pester her just to remind her to sleep and eat, my point is no artist is the same, everyone's circumstances are different. honestly while I am not an aspiring artist I am a self published author, everyone who takes the time to create and refine their product to this degree has every right to ask for some cash off of it.

Oh I'm not asking why the Artist did it....I mean everyone has to make a living so obviously she did it for cash but I'm just confused at why someone would buy this. I mean I understand if she sends them the finished piece in the mail but most of these adoptable thingies the artist never sends them the finished piece.

I'm not familiar with adoptables either, however, based on what I've seen, some people buy them so they can draw it themselves without worrying about copyright. Others like to create stories with the adoptables. By buying them, they own the rights to use them in their stories, comics, illustrations, etc. Some might even just like collecting them or supporting their favorite artist, if they have the cash. I'd like to learn more about this because I see lots of people selling adoptables. I never thought of doing it myself, but it sounds like fun.

I just don't understand why people would bid and pay so much for a pre-drawn character like that
not saying they shouldn't or anything, just don't really understand it.

I like designing characters, but I often find it difficult to create certain types of characters. I like very detailed characters but have a hard time designing them, for an example. Also, sometimes I find a character, fall in love with it, and use it for a character I haven't made a design for.
Also, I'm not very good at different hairstyles and outfits, so it can help with that, too.
They aren't for everyone though.

Based on how Sasucchi does this, she asks for bids. The highest bidder takes the adoptable. That means that the people get to choose how high they're willing to go in terms of spending. Each artist values their art differently. I can see why people would spend so much for her art. She's very skilled at what she does and she's very popular.
Bigger named artists sell their art for hundreds of dollars and people buy because they love that artist and their style. The bigger you are, the more you can charge. As long as people are willing to pay the price, she can keep doing what she wants. I'm pretty envious but I wish her the best because I know she works hard and I can tell she puts a lot of effort into her art.
