This is an old pic I drawed a long time ago
I want to fix all my old pics with Photoshop to make them look a little better 
I hope you like it This is Iori, from the I''s manga ( (c) Masakazu Katsura)EDIT: Actually, I remember to write this in the past... I wonder why it is no here! Maybe I wrote it in the Yahoo Groups and forgot to mention it here? Ok, I don't want this draw merits! I just used a Katsura's illustration and made the girl (Iori) fatter. The pose, the background, the hair, etc, is Katsura's merit, not mine. I just made the girl chubbier

To me, when a girl has a potbelly like this it practically screams "I'm extra-huggable!"........ (Hope I don't sound creepy saying that!)

quick question.... why do people like to draw people as fat people? i dont mean anything by this im just curious

I wish I could give you a better answer, but the only one that comes to my mind is "Because they (me included) like fat people". There are some exceptions out there that do this with the intention of mocking said fat people, but that's not the case when you see someone's gallery full of fat girls. Or boys, depending on the person. Then, most likely, that they like them.

Hmmmm.....this girl looks more like Izumi than Iori. Because when Ichitaka first met Izumi, she looked like Iori, but had longer, wavier hair than she did (see vol. 8 for details).

Maybe... this one was actually "copied" from one illustration... one of the manga covers I think. I just made her fatter than the original ^_^

Sorry for not being more vocal earlier then! Bigger isn't always better for me, I should say, but I really do focus on the quality of the artwork itself. Like all your stuff, it's just incredible. Those eyes and that coy little smile are just great. Thank you once again for all of your work!

The shape is the only thing I added, since it's a version I made of an existing paint by that Katsura guy (a genius to draw thin girls)

I noticed he tends to draw his girls a bit more curvy than most manga-ka do, especially in his present works.

I was thinking amoung the lines of Shadow Lady and DNA^2. He also did character designs for the anime OVA Iria:The Zeiram Animation, one of my old favorites.

Yeh, it is based on the live action movie Iria:The Zeiram Encounter, which while cheesy looking, was quite enjoyable, but the OVA is much cooler
