Very nice! Love the nods to the series, like zaphods stupidity and Marvin's pessimism. Not to mention the adorable bbw trillian...

Hey, have you read the other 4 books afterwards?

Not all of them, sadly.

Funny, I'm reading the book, but I pictured Trillian much differently.

You probably pictured her thin D:
I kid, I kid. I actually took a lot of "inspiration" from one of the outfits Zooey Deschanel is wearing in the HHGTTG movie [link]

In the book it said something about her having dark skin. She's an alien, so I pictured that she had purple skin.

I thought it could be something that was lost in translation in my country, so I made a little research.

She does seem to be human, born in the UK or in America, depending on which version of the story we're talking about. Apparently they were going to say the movie-version was half-human, but dismissed the idea.

Da-dee-da... book, film, tv show, book, book, "trilogy of five books", film, film, book, blah de blah...
This really annoys me that everbody just assumes the book as the canonical version because it's a book. The canonical version is the radio series. With HGG it's more important than ever because Douglas Adams refused to write it the same way twice. This can be illustrated with the towel. There isn't even a towel in the radio series, in the text-based adventure game it belongs to Arthur, in the book it belongs to Ford, and I assume by your picture that in the film it belongs to Zaphod.

Satsurou In reply to Fangobra [2009-02-11 16:19:51 +0000 UTC]
Technically speaking they all are written by the same guy (or strongly influenced like the movie) so I don't really care. In the movie, though, Ford has a towel, and so does Arthur, unless I remember wrong. Zaphod has a towel around in some moments.
Thanks for your two cents, though.

They were all written by Douglas Adams, the great British comedian.
And as for influence, Douglas had actually started scripting the film when he died in 2001. If he'd finished it it would probably have been completely different again.

Thought as much. It's just that they're in the exact position in which they could be interpreted as teeth.

Very nice to see this series get the classic satsurou treatment! LoL though i always liked the name Trillian, i was never really thinking she was all that special until zooey deschanel played her. And now... well now LoL! great work!
also, i love it when thicker arms do that little timid finger thing like she is! don't know why, really.
