Artist's Notes: Hope everyone had a happy New Year and here's to a good 2022 going forward! This is my first upload of the year and the last of the scrapped Pacific Rim kaiju series I have been doing for . Himantura was described as a cross between a switchblade and a stingray capable of folding its body in a way that resembles three creatures in one. This gave me the idea to give it a terrestrial, aquatic, and aerial form that it could fold in and out of. For inspiration I looked to Orga/the Millennian from Godzilla 2000 and the mismatched fossil Pokémon from Sword and Shield. I wanted to it to look alien, even when compared to the other kaiju in this series, but I think it came out a little bit too inorganic.
