lost a friend to the world
an imaginary soldier
she rummaged thru old emotions
forgot to catch a train
her destination was voided
she was left melting in the rain
where had she gone
when had she lost the plot
she wrote herself little notes
still somehow she forgot
and people shake their heads
they whisper what a waste
she goes about her life
taking up minimum space
can you see her
can you taste her tears
she seems so far away
