candles casting shadows

The night creeps slowly
I walked home alone
the birds were scavaging
he was slaving for his art
the silence makes me feel
I don't belong
echos in my head
a part of some old song

And I feel like crying
but the tears won't start
I'd feel like dying
Needed a brand new start
and time makes me older
I should know better
sifting thru the letters
a world apart

There was a time
it was simpler then
I have some paper
but I can't find a pen
course if I did I wouldn't write
it's easier to
change everything
