that is possible. but remember how he said, right before he died, they need something to bring them together. same thing that Fury said way earlier, so Coulson "died" to get them to work together. He had to stay "dead" so they wouldn't realize that his death was faked. This is still all just speculation, but it makes geed sense...and would make many fans happy!

I agree, I thought the same thing.
Since Fury staged the Capt. America trade cards to have Coulson's blood on them saying he had them inside his suit jacket when they were actually in his locker.
