"I am the devil, and I am here to do the devil's work."

Here is a piece I've done to celebrate the forthcoming release of "The Devil's Rejects", which is released this friday, June 22. I am a huge fan of the first movie, "House of 1000 Corpses" and Otis B. Driftwood is my favorite character. This version of Otis is from Rejects, and had undergone some changes from how he appeared in his first film where he was albino and beardless. I was at first somewhat disapointed in the changes, but still think he's a "butt-kicker" and wanted to illustrate the new version because though he's different, he's still awesome. *ahem*

That aside, the drawing is ink, watercolor, and acrylic. People seem look at pictures, paintings from left to right I find, and I wanted to change that perception with this painting, using negative space to shift the focus from right to left, to the subject, and then off panel into your own imagination to conclude what horrors may have been visited by the hands of "the devil".
