Well, I honestly don't know how I came up with this. Was it my idea? Did I see anything on the web which influenced me? I don't know. All I know is that I did not think "let's copy that picture". I photographed my hand for a picture I had in mind but instead I just played around in PS with the different images I got. You can see the result above.
I'm pretty sure I've seen "25 Fingers" later when I already uploaded my picture. However I don't think that the picture you're referring to is the first one of this kind ever made.
I did a "tribute" kinda image once and I credited the artist. So I guess it's a huge coincidence after all.
