Description Quotes courtesy William Shakespeare. Photos courtesy the BBC. The paper came from... wildwestroundup.com. Font is Aquiline Two.

I'm obsessed with David Tennant. You have no idea. It's crazy. And I really, really, REALLY liked the BBC version of Hamlet with him starring as the Mad Prince of Denmark. But I couldn't find a background that I liked. None of them had quotes.

I fail at photoshop. I've never been good, but this one wasn't as bad as the ones I've tried in the past. So I'm happy with it. It has David's face, and uses all the quotes from Hamlet that I liked in the play. I used the eraser, smudge, and blur tool more than anybody probably should.

ANYWAY, you should watch the BBC version of Hamlet. NOT the new American one with Jude Law. Why? Because I'm willing to bet David was better. 'Course, I'm biased. When he said "Am I a coward?" I shouted "NOOOOOOOOOOOO! YOU'RE THE DOCTOR!" But he looked so sad!

Polonius was fairly funny. And I liked seeing Patrick Stewart play a bad guy. If I wasn't a rabid Tennant fan, I probably would have liked Laertes (and the guy who played him) more. Didn't like Ophelia.

In the event that you have three and a half hours to kill on your computer, Hamlet can be found LEGALLY online at [link]

This looks sooooo awesome! Now, I've gotta see this play! David Tennant AND Patrick Stewart, to me this is an epic-win combo!

Verily, this is something great and true.
I particularly enjoy the nice font,
and do so hope I can find it myself.

As to your work so beauteous and fair,
I say the following in critiquing,
forsooth! that is what one should do for these
lovely works of long toil in Shop and paint.

The shattered glass doth hold Hamlet's visage
a way most remarkable and profound,
though I dare say the top right most image...
that stare is most frightening and chilling.

Is this just because it's Hamlet, or does it have something to do with the William Shakespeare's Tomb of Horrors? (I was kind of hoping someone would choose Hamlet <_<)

And yeah, the shattered mirror was a recurring theme in the BBC version of Hamlet. In the movie version his stare in that scene wasn't quite as frightening or chilling, but the lower right... Had quite an impact on me. I think it's kind of diminished here because it isn't the central focus and it's slightly blurred.

I enjoyed working with the font in relation with the rest of the background. Some of it isn't to my liking, but it'll do. I liked Aquiline Two because it was a bit rougher looking than the other calligraphy fonts.

The problem I had with Hamlet was that I could only remember quotes from Hamlet during our MacBeth test.

Chances are you can find Aquiline Two on dafont.com

Awesome, on all counts!

And the verse...Cuz it's Hamlet, yes, cuz of ToH, yes, because Shakespeare's found a way to invade my life a whole lot lately, yes.

Have you watched the BBC version of Hamlet yet? If not, I have a mission for you over the summer.

I think this has come out very well. (And if it's any comfort, I fail at photoshop too. )

I really should see that Hamlet production. I hadn't realised it was online (though I should have guessed ). Maybe that can be something to do during next week's half-term holiday.

Yay! Thank you. And it's definitely worth watching. I highly suggest it. If you can get a teenager obsessed with a Shakespeare play...
