Description
A creepy monster in a castle of glass?! Of course I want it, much more if it's a bling-bling monster too! Easy to catch me, but the time I spent on it...!
I thought end it for november but that walls of glass were such an hard challenge...! Started it again 2 or 3 time, to get something logical with all this little pieces, then, same with the shade, but it still didn't look like the glass effect I've got in my head, especilly for the shade, was too hard, too soft... it's a good training that I hope to improve on an other work! Dark part is better than the highlight one, it's dirty... There were also big columns in the main concept but it would have hidden the walls so, no.
I was also very unsure about that throne of bodies, first idea was to make something very messy, without sens with the limbs, but my hand was totally out of control, that was so good!! I love so much this part of this work despite I killed my eyes with the dark contrast (couldn't work on it during day, so only at night without lot of light in the room but high luminosity for the screen... ).
And I ended it with the character, much less skinny and skeletal than first sketches I made to make him a bit more 'human'...? I'm just sad that his floating clothe hide all the work I done on his skin, especially with it he looks like a grandma!! I was out of ideas for his cloth but that was fun to cover it of feathers or imagine how it could be this jewel-glove! I added some other jewels to make it more bling-bling but something's missing again, maybe an necklace of eyes or a ring.
I was curious to put a picture on this character and this scene and happy to finally archieved it to start another big work!
