Paprika doesn't print anything other than the text on the pages and not the pieces themselves.
Can you make a PDF copy of the pages?

sorry dude
im actually pretty pee'd about this pattern
no joining lines areas or assembly instructions.
i have a handfull of parts, certain shapes and structures
now i have to interlock them, sort them with two hands.
fumble jumble falls apart
i cant see through paper to see where it all connects, if it connects , and how it connects
the 5 main assembly parts dont seem to have any tags, so you cant attach them.
i have wrecked my brain about this one all night.
usually they are easy to figure out.
i gave up.
...........................
you have an instruction manual about how to add lights and swing arms
but how about a manual on how to put your iron man helmet together?
please help.

I designed this pattern thinking on pasting it to corrugated cardboard, so most tabs wouldn't be useful there. Think of it like building it on foamy and you'll get my idea. If you want to use regular paper or corrugated carboard you'll have to add tabs using regular paper and glue.

sorry for the angry posts, just thought i could make a bad ass helmet with all the nifty parts for a comic show,, then ran out of time,, and had to make another design.
its all down to materials , im still relitivly new to the art so im learning,, foam is new for me.

hello sir, i was wondering if those 4 parts that are black and white. do i have to print it out and cut it?? because i was checking out on the pepakura viewer and click on every red and yellow part and its all assemble so i dunno why this black and white parts are added.

It's a support part, a few parts attach to it and other parts move around it. Take a look at [link]

I'm seeing a lot of solid black lines on the inside of the pieces that don't have any folding tabs. Am I supposed to cut those or fold them? Sorry, I'm still pretty new to the papercrafting world.
π: 0 β©: 1
ScannerJOE In reply to RaveAndRant [2012-10-28 22:18:08 +0000 UTC]
Yes those are supposed to be cutted. This pattern was supposed to be pasted over corrugated cardboard so then you can cut those lines and fill them with white glue, so they can be pasted side by side (without tabs). If choose not to use corrugated cardboard then you have to join this gaps with paper and glue inside. As you may note this is not for beginers but it is not impossible to do.
Good luck!

I have quite a lot of difficulty folding page 1 and 2 because I don't know where the tabs go. Are there instructions anywhere?

ScannerJOE In reply to Sausage69 [2012-09-23 08:43:10 +0000 UTC]
I hope you have figured it out how to build it by now. There are no manual, only the advices posted right here in this deviation.
About the tabs, you can use pepakura viewer to check which part joins to which other. If you are missing the inner tabs you have to know that i've designed the pattern to be pasted over corrugated cardstock, so the "missing tabs" gaps should be filled with glue to join the cardstock side by side, additionaly you may use aditional paper/cardboard and glue to join the carstock from the inner side.

π: 0 β©: 1
ScannerJOE In reply to pablonegative [2012-08-29 20:03:32 +0000 UTC]

you can switch off the textures in pepakura to print the lines only. Then use any painting method you want.

And also i'll be glad to answer any question you have about it.
Enjoy the building process!.

hi I have all the pieces cut but some look like they are overlapping parts
also how do I fold the lines some are dashes and some are thick lines thanks
π: 0 β©: 1
ScannerJOE In reply to chrish3901 [2012-05-06 04:50:24 +0000 UTC]
If the cut lines are too near to each other it means they are almost flat surfaces so you must probably don't have to worry about them, if you still want to cut them you'll need to join them later with additional paper/cardboard from behind. I made this design originally to use corrugated cardboard so in that kind of cardboard you can join that gaps putting glue directly in the gaps.
And finally here's a quick intro to folds (using "ASCII Art"):
- - - - means mountain fold
-.-.-.- means valley fold
_______ means cut line

Nice challenge but i don't know, right now there's no reference for it (if it ever make it to the avengers movie). Right now there are too many speculations about its shape maybe the best bet are the IM2 toys edition but since the delta shaped arc reactor i think it'll be designed to match it instead.

How much harder would it be to build this if, to say, I were reduce this to 7 inches high? (about 177 mm in pepakura)
π: 0 β©: 1
ScannerJOE In reply to TomAwezome [2010-10-07 04:47:43 +0000 UTC]
It could be hard but is not imposible. You might ignore some of the tiny cuts or even instruct pepakura to join those adjacent edges after changing the scale.

Good work, pretty inspiring actually. Because of your model i am making my october costume right now, i am now working on the helmet (i have just started), but i`m leaving the paper back and making mine in fiberglass, and guess what, pretty resistant and olso pretty bright, the finish of paint is hot, i`ll be publishing a picture of my piece of art when it be finished, if anybody wants to do it on fiberglass and want some help, ask here, i`ll be glad to help yo out. Good Luck from Colombia!

ScannerJOE In reply to NICKSLICKTHEBEST [2010-07-11 07:24:58 +0000 UTC]
Well fiberglass and papercraft can complement each other, you don't have to abandon paper, you may start your model with paper and apply fiberglass later, saving you a lot sculpting time. There's a lot of people doing this right now . I did choose to use only paper because it is lighter, resistent, flexible and cheaper.
You know "Fast, cheap, good".
