In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Helios is the god and personification of the Sun. His name is also Latinized as Helius, and he is often given the epithets Hyperion ("the one above") and Phaethon ("the shining"). Helios is often depicted in art with a radiant crown and driving a horse-drawn chariot through the sky. He was a guardian of oaths and also the god of sight. Though Helios was a relatively minor deity in Classical Greece, his worship grew more prominent in late antiquity thanks to his identification with several major solar divinities of the Roman period, particularly Apollo and Sol. The Roman Emperor Julian made Helios the central divinity of his short-lived revival of traditional Roman religious practices in the 4th century AD.

From Modern History:

The first son to the goddess of wisdom Athena, Helios never knew who his real father was until the Russian named Kyle Stepanov stepped into the family and become a better father than he ever would be. By the time he was 10, he sees his young brother Apollo born and tend to love and care for him as his promise. By the time he was 16, he joined Russia's special defense force as apart of the United Nation's defense embassy. Wearing the scarf his father gave to him at his youth, he always shares his heat around the body. There was one incident that changed the world and made him a hero that day... during a hostage situation in St. Petersburg, Helios was working on dismantling the bomb at an office building. Unable to disable the battery, he used all his ability to override the core within the destructive device. As a result, he sacrificed himself to save the town and the army... only leaving his scarf as evidence. The heartbroken family heard news of his death, even Kyle was in distraught. As years passed, Helios is nothing more than a spirit. But thankfully, he stuck to his young brother like he promised, helping him through his struggles and look after the young sister named Anais (Artemis as her god name). Being a Titan, he is strong and mighty. The new world made his hair look like the radiant crown he wore in the old world.
