I have only watched 5 episodes of Jigoku Shoujo and I absolutely LOVE it.
I made the Jigoku Shoujo logo and i'm kinda proud of it 
Anyways, here's one of the coolest character's....ever... Not as close to L from DN, but close enough.

The Anime's about this site called Hell Correspondence, where enma will take revenge on the requestee's behalf. people can submit someones name to it only at midnight. Once Jigoku Shoujo (enma) accepts the requests, she secretly meets up with them when they don't expect it and gives them this little straw doll with a red ribbon around its neck. She tells them to pull the ribbon when they are sure they're ready for the revenge on the person who has harmed them, but there is a catch...once that person has made the convenant with Enma, they too will enter hell after they die while two cursed marks appear on their chests.
