This picture, edited though it might be is very visually appealing. The shadow iris effect around the flower not only draws the the eyes to the flowers but also adds a lot of emphasis on the attached and cast shadows. As far as the original picture goes, the picture is clean and the vibrant purple being the main focus cast against the blur of the underbrush shows skill with the camera.
Though this picture is nice on the eyes, the effects are something that has been done many times before, the actual picture is original but at the same time a rather normal angle, Different angels or even a macro may have added more emphasis on this matter.

You had me at the purple, then the shades of purple kiked in with the green backing great! Lost me at the black , though it draws the eye to the great flower it is too stark. I would have liked to see more of the edited version. Has a whole I like it and love the flower! good job.
