Description "The thought of my family's graves was the only moment I used to experience true love. That love remains infinite, as I'll never be the man my father is."

Part of my art school graduation project.

This was originally part of a video set to the music of Nightwish, "Song of Myself" part 4, 'Love'. Unfortunately YouTube blocked it as good as everywhere.

In a few days from this video's release I will leave the prep school I have been studying at for the past three years. It's been an amazing time with many fond and uncomfortable memories and I felt the need to memorialise it.
There is more to speak about than YouTube lets me but this video summarises three years worth of misery, strife, hate and love, happiness, contentment and personal growth.
All of that and more is what this video is about. For my final project I made this video to commemorate everything I have been through in school, and the second chance I was given to figure myself out before I had to face the real world. I have thought about my life, and if it's worth spending the rest of my life in a studio instead of experiencing the world. I have been an old man thinking about his misspent youth, a young kid playing games in his innocence, a victimised woman crying herself to sleep, and a beaten dog trying to edge his way towards the light. I have thought about what I value in life and what I want from it and worked to get the little silliness' and failed in enormous undertakings I wasn't ready for. And in all of it I have reached a sort of understanding and feel good about myself for the first time in years. Now I wanted to capture all of that as well as show off the practical things I'd learned, going from having never held a pen outside my mind in three years.

I hope you like it, and hope you didn't miss me terribly.

Your shadow shading never ceases to impress me. Your shadows are always pitch black and still somehow display perfectly the figures within and they look very 3 dimensional and not flat at all because of the techniques you put fourth. I'm always happy to see when you've shaded something so heavily. Truly a beautiful and creepy image!

Thank you! This is conté and ordinary B4 pen. Conté is brilliant because it's like a mix between charcoal and graphite.
