Man the planes of the WWII era were the best, they were the most beautiful and unique things in the sky at the time, and man you gotta love how their engines roared >:3

Years ago I attempted a painting of a scene very much like this. Unfortunately, I didn't have any reference photos so the Mustang was from memory...and apparently my memory was a bit off.
Oh well - you captured what I was trying to. It's a fantastic picture.

thanks, you really should get into it, get your self to an airshow - start with taking photos of the stuff of the ground, you can get some interesting images.

I know this is a bit later. if you are still interested in aviation photography, there is no need to wait for an airshow. Just stop by your local airport and I am sure there will be many willing airmen/women to help you find a subject to take a photo of. Best of luck to you.

Wow - I haven't ever seen a Mustang in a setting like this before. This is very stunning and breathtaking. You captured many elements of mood and atmosphere with this picture.

Oh, this is gorgeous. This is definitely proof that a powerful image of a powerful machine can be artistic, and not be displayed as forensic evidence. The sillhouette of the plane against that sky is the home run here. Even if you hadn't provided the information on the type of aircraft in the shot, I would have immediately recognized it by the way you chose to frame it. It's unmistakeable. Excellent image, Buzz!

Well the aircraft were made by North American, Mustang was just the name given to it. they are beauties!
