there's no shortage of vampire pix here on dA, but i've never really tried one before. so there ya go.
i attempted some shadow too. the thumbnail casts a shadow, and the lower drop of blood has a small one as well.
and believe it or not, i spent about 5 hours in total on the blood alone. the high-lights are done by hand, and practically every visible bit of blood in this is pre-determined, and manipulated with different erasers and opacities.

That's interesting. You're right, there are many Vampire pics here and some of them are brilliant, but this one has.....passion in it. Can't describe it otherwise. I love things that hit me...unprepared

quite different than some of your work..love how the blood is stained on the teeth..and on their lips..even in the cracks/lines in her lips..really like this..and since everyone loves the sexiness of this work..i see something written along those lines..

thanks! there's more detail in the eyes that you can't see cause i uploaded it 672×1000.
the original is 1312 x 1953, and you can really see the yellow eye has many different lines burned into it. by hand. o.0
