it´s supposed to be a "reflection shadow",or whatever you´d call it,but good to know that it doesnt work .
not sure how the actual shadow would behave in this lighting setup,might go back and try to fix this.

Well, in here it looks just like a regular shadow but I get what you were going for.
I think in that case it should only be visible on the top of pedestal. You drew it on the side as well and I though it was a normal shadow.

Assuming that light comes from the front, you could lighten up the front side of piedestal, draw the "reflection" only on top and additionally draw a regular shadow behind a statue.

Altho that's just how I see it. I've been in art for shorter than you so maybe I'm dumb.
