What is a drak'ar?-----------------------
Drak'ar is spoken drak=dragon and 'ar=breath,
which means born to the magic of a true dragon to be his minion.
Larp group:
---------------
Drak'ar -project of our larp group drachenstreiter.
Actually there are 6 drak'ar played, everyone of our group.
Drak'ar are minions, magically created by old big dragons for minor work.
Costumes are fully selfmade.

Antro dragon suits:
------------------------
One dragon minion suit weight is about 11kg.
It's made of about 28 different pieces of scales and so on.
But it's full movable, sitting, run and fighting is no problem.
To finish sewing one drak'ar 5 month's are needed.
Wings are work in progress.
In germany non-human characters in larp are rare,
besides the lord of the rings races.

Wow! I can't imagine running around LARPing in such a costume. I tried it in a really lightweight ranger outfit with almost no armour, and PHEW, it was exhausting and sweaty in just that!

It's all about endurance ^^
Minimum 11 kg plus clothes, bags and so on.
Mine is about 13 kg, my wife 11 kg.
The green one 11 kg, too.
We are running around, fighting, walking on quests and are also dancing ^^
Will be making some videos moving in our suits next time.
