Description a little something i threw together in celebration of sailor moon's 20th anniversary and her new anime coming out in 2013.


I know that you all are aware of my love for sailor moon, but i dont think i ever could express what she means to me. I know it is a little silly for a grown 23 year old man to be saying that, but it's true. She has been one of the only consistent things through out my life, and she instantly brings me back to a simpler time. I never, ever get sick of reading or watching her. She's the best!

I am so proud to be a moonie through and through, and am excited that a whole new generation of kids will get to enjoy the magic that is sailor moon. So heres to the future of love and justice, and to all the new moonies about to be born!

CANT WAIT FOR 2013 UHGUIUGUHOHKCFTF!!!!!

im not quite sure thats the reason. theres usually only a few weeks between when one precure series ends and another starts. so it would just be competing with the new one anyway.

Hey, the creator says that she wants it to appeal to older audiences ! So that means, not only will it be closer to the manga, but she wants it to be aired uncut and unedited. So, toonami should just put back on there. Why? Because Sailor Moon was on toonami along will DBZ (another fav of mine) and now that toonami is on adult swim, why not put Sailor Moon on toonami? I mean in America, they had to edit the content soooooooooooooooo much that it almost didn't make sense. If you have to edit something like that, just put it on adult swim. Oh, and they certainly have the green light to do so, Naruto is airing on toonami and they claim it's going to be UNEDITED and UNCUT. So, yeah. If they even think of putting Sailor Moon on another network, they know that they will edit the crap out of it. I want Sailor Moon to return as much as the next fan, but I want it UNEDITED and UNCUT. Besides, Cartoon Network itself has some shows with adult themes in it anyway, and another big detail :MOST OF US SAILOR MOON FANS ARE EITHER TEENS OR ADULTS NOW so we would hate to see it chopped up and toned down for many of the kids today who probably won't even watch it.

These are all so beautiful and flawless that I thought they were real promotional images from the show creators. Knowing that they're from a fellow moonie just makes it even better. Thank you so much for creating all of these and doing such a wonderful job with them!! Love it!!!

I must say, I have some misgivings about the fact that they're making it closer to the manga.

For one thing, the manga completely lacked the anime's "redeeming power of love" theme which made it so unique among superhero shoes. The Nephrite+Naru story arc, Prince Diamond's redemptive sacrifice for Sailor Moon, the fact that Professor Tomoe is nice in the anime unlike his jerkass manga self, etc.

I'm also noticing that there are more fatalistic and cynical trends in Japanese anime today; I'm worried they'll try to "modernize" Sailor Moon and make it into an angst-fest, robbing it of the idealism that made it so uplifting to watch.

I do love the redeeming storylines for a lot of the villains. Hope some of that is kept. But the manga had much more of a whole kind of feel to it. Things were tied into one another in the end, where as the anime lacked a sense of completeness and had many plot holes.

Suffice to say, I live both.
