Description
Built in Detroit, Michigan in 1929, the lake freighter Calumet plied Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes for 80 years until scrapped in 2008. When built she was one of the largest lake freighters, but by the 1980's was one of the smallest. I took this photo in 2001 from the pier at Grand Haven, Michigan.
