I think I finally found out the building blocks to your art style, your "A-DNA" if you will.
First, you draw in detail the anatomy of a creature (your personal choice) to the dot, then, you add cartoon like features without going too cartoony that you ruin the effect of the previosly mentioned detail, after that (if you choose) you give clothing and accessories to better personify the character, and THEN you paint the actual piece (that process however is still beyond me right now).
This bit of art here has really added a layer to the understanding I have for how you work and make it so remarkably alive (it's the close it, it's always a help.)
Never a dull addition to your portfolio, in the end. Good work.

The detail on the head and the fur so carefully positioned in truly something to behold.
And I love the fact that the background is sit during sundown in a forest and correct me if Iβm wrong, but is that a city of some sort in the way back of the painting?
But the one thing that I love about your paintings is the Eyes of the creators you both depict on all of your master pieces. Itβs like your able to give them a personally all their own! Like they real!

on average, how many washes did it actually take you to do that? >> I'm in art school atm and we're learning about washes, I don't know shit about that XD So how many washes does it take to get to such details like this?

Er--I'm not sure! Sometimes I can get the shadows I was looking for in a few washes, other times it takes a lot more. Sorry, that's kind of a lame answer, but there's no formula to it, I'm afraid. It's just working at it and throwing paint at the paper until it looks right. :]
One thing though, I do tend to work with many mostly-transparent washes, slowly getting to the shadow/color I want, letting it dry inbetween each wash. Mostly because with watercolor, you can always darken something, but you can't easily lighten it.

Oh, it's beautiful and the detail with the fur is just amazing, along with the atmosphere in the background. I especially enjoy the eyes and the scarf. It's so magnificent.
