More West Coast Avengers! After finishing Tigra I sketched out Hawkeye and Mockingbird here, originally planning to make two separate pictures. But then I realized I could kill two birds with one stone (yuk yuk) and stuck 'em together. That's how it ought to be, right?

I'm actually pretty fond of most of the West Coast roster, but there ain't no denying that Hawkeye was my favorite. Like many others, I'm a sucker for a superpower-less hero who gets by on his/her own skills and still manages to kick butt, which is part of why Mockingbird is great also. Physicality aside, you've got to love the liveliness of this pair. They're both less than perfect people, too hot-headed for their own good, yet tons of fun nonetheless--I love 'em. (I may have even teared up during issue 100. Don't tell anyone.)

I can't really mention Hawk & Mock without plugging , their #1 fan and a tremendous artist/costumer/all-around nerdface. Go and check out her stuff!
