Oh man, gotta love Glomgold.. One of the hundreds of things I loved about "The Life And Times of Scrooge" by Master Don was that little.. "lesson" poor Scrooge got when he saved young Glomgold's life and Glomgold took _everything_ Scrooge had. One more thing I love about Mr. Glomgold is the fact that he's willing to go to any length to get what he wants. The Scrooge universe doesn't seem to have the Phantom Blot (which is too bad 'cuz I love him but prefer the ducks over the mice) so Mr. Glomgold is maybe the villain closest to the Blot who could pull off murder attempts and such. I remember one Aku Ankka (Finnish Donald Duck although I'll take a guess and say you're a Finn too dunno why) number when I was young, where he actually tried to crush Scrooge, Don and the boys under.. well, a huge rock. And then there was the more recent "killing beagle boys" plot. I've always loved Glomgold as a ultimate thematic opposite to Scrooge. Scrooge is cunning but he always earns his money by going the "straight and narrow", though once he went bit of gray (the voodoo thing). Glomgold worked for his money too but he chose to be underhanded and immoral, as world is a gray place and rules are there to be broken, what's a few more lives worth. Don Rosa shows that really well as a mirror of our "true" world if you will. *favourite-click*
