hm, well there's 2 important things in my opinion, and that's learning the program and learning how to draw with a tablet.
for learning the program you should look up tutorials and things like hotkeys and things like settings. most of the tools, hotkeys, and settings are program specific so what program you use is important too.
for learning how to draw with a tablet, it just takes time. ctrl-z (undo) is your friend, and it's basically just getting used to how the tablet works when you draw and the pressure settings you have.
