...and a good friend to boot.
My submission to 's newest theme for this week, Helping a Friend in Need!. I had actually been looking for an excuse to put this together, and not for the first time, this week's theme gave me that excuse.
Assembled much in the same way I assembled "Discordiphobia" , but as this comic is much shorter, overall smaller, used the same background for every panel, and the fact that Twilight scarcely moves at all made it much easier to put together. Still, looking at it, there is a thing here and there I probably could add or do better on, and "Discordiphobia" set a lesser standard that I decided to stick to (for my own sanity's well-being, wouldn't want to go cupcakes on y'all), but overall, I'm quite happy with it, and I had a lot fun sketching it all out (Pinkie in the third panel is my most favorite).

It's my personal opinions that Pinkie's methods may seem bizarre, but there's really few other ponies who could be a better friend than her.

I came up with that walking to and from somewhere, just kind of in the spur of the moment. I liked it enough that I knew I just had to use it somehow, so I was already considering doing this comic when gave me the excuse I needed.

No, no, that's why I said I respect what you did. I've done lots and lots of pics for the atg and I know how hard and time-consuming it can be to just draw one pic with multiple characters (my entry this week took HOURS even though it looks simple, though I know it wouldn't if I were more skilled...), especially just one after the other week after week; I've done one multi-panel comic and it was just thee panels with one character each, in a similar pose each time, and even that took forever. So, I'd like to do something like this sometime because I love comics and I love looking at stuff like this, but I know it's rough!

Well, for me it helps that I currently have a lot of free time I can use to work on art. But that'll likely change by the end of the year.
Also, it helps to know when to take shortcuts. Like for example, Twilight from the neck on down in this comic is all exactly the same sketch copied several times, digitally altered as needed. Generally this isn't encouraged in the art world, but when you're on a timetable, it's both a time-saver and a sanity-saver. I used a similar tactic with "Discordiphobia," but that was a much more ambitious comic that even then was hard to put together in time.
Anyway, thanks for the comments. It's good encouragement to get me to want to do more stuff like this in the future.

And yeah, the legs do look funny, but in my defense, when they were still a disorganized bunch of backgroundless sketches in my sketchbook, they didn't seem so off.
