Natural light- 10-12am sun from window.
The shutter speed I used was suited to someone with darker skin, I had to adjust to avoid getting blown out whites with a model with paler skin. So this method is alot of trial and error depending on the effect wanted.
A tripod is necessary.
Post processing- adjust to cooler temp, and increase contrast.

nice arty concept, takes a lot of time to get this right.
for this pic, i would prefer to have cropped to head and shoulders only - ie. use only top 2/3rds as the darker horizontal shades near the bottom detract in my humble opinion.

i debated about that....wanted to keep it as is to keep the length of the piece if that makes sense....i do have a few others that are cropped so lets see if those worked
