OKAY so wasn't super happy with this part way through... but it has redeemed itself XD
AND i got to feature some amazing characters that belong to some wonderful people (which always makes me really happy)

Cavan was finding it hard not to keep smiling and looking over at Nora. This visit to Imperials had seen a development of their friendship into something that he was not sure how he'd had been living without. Everything seemed new and different, from the way the sun shone though the clouds, to the way her voice was impossible for him not to hear, or the way his chest seemed too small every time she smiled at him. Even as they galloped through the hills around her home, he couldn't help but look over just to check she was still beside him, and still unable to stop smiling just as he was.

It probably wasn't the safest way to ride in a hunt. Distractions were never good when doing anything that involved that level of speed and unpredictable animals. Dove was not an experienced hunter either, and prone to spooking if another horse was nervous of the jumps. He was hopeful that one day she would be as confident in a hunt as Sherry was, but she was young and not in serious training over jumps at the moment. She was careful over the small fences but she was currently more of an all-around mount so had not been truly tested over anything like the obstacles their fellow riders were taking on. So Cavan was taking the easy jumps and then riding through open gates whenever possible. Not only for his mare, but also because that was Nora's plan for the ride as well.

As talented and brilliant a horsewoman as she was, her focus had not really been on jumping in the past. She could outride him on the flat any day, but the jumps added something different for her. One day he would love to be able to really ride a hunt alongside her, but for today he would be leaving the big jumps to people with the motivation and focus for them. In other words, people who had not been spending the morning stealing kisses from an angel.
