I find PS 7 to be my friend more so then the CS version.

I like how in PS7 you can Ctrl + Left Click a Layer and it will select everything on the layer... Not like a select all, but say you have just line art on a layer, using the above command all the lines would be selected...

Now there maybe a shortcut key for CS but I haven't found it yet, so I just don't bother to use the newer version of PS.

I do, however, use Illustrator CS 2, to do the line art, and occasionally I do the lines with my tablet in PS7.

P.S. The reason I'm asking is cause my Dad found his copy of Photoshop 7.0 And I've been using it, so I was wondering if you have any tips for me?

YEa, that tutorial I linked you to for coloring line art.... soooo user friendly.

Google Photo Shop 7 Tutorial for Beginners or Look for a Beginners guide to PS... This will get you familiar with commands and functions.

A tablet is a huge jump in coloring artwork (in my opinion) but not needed for beginning, unless you can find a cheap one.

Pretty much learn the basic functions of PS7 then hit the advanced tutorials. Most of the time the Tutorial will tell you how experience you should be with the program.

Having fun is so very important. ^_^ You have been inspiring me to work with my tablet more. It is still so hard for me, at least with line art. Coloring is definitely fun though.
