Description "Remind me again why we're out here.." Etoile complained. Wurmloch's reply was simply, "Snow." Etoile know he wasn't talking of just the snow around them; he also spoke of their raccoon friend with the name Snow. As Etoile could recall, Snow mentioned something weird going on where she was playing. And so, Etoile found herself joining with Wurmloch in the cold, freezing, chilling snow. Fortunately for Etoile, she had kept her jacket on, and the snow was only lightly falling. Peaceful, yet quiet. Wurmloch, despite wearing a sleeveless shirt, hadn' flinched once from the cold, possibly due to being used to colder conditions in space.
After a few minutes, they noticed a large pile of rocks that looked to have been dumped there. Wurmloch brought up a wormhole in front of Snow, who was currently getting ready to eat. "Does this look familiar to you?" Wurmloch asked, showing her the boulder pile. Snow disagreed. "It wasn't there before," she said. During this short conversation, Etoile noticed something out of the corner of her eye. She looked over, and noticed a lone stone floating in the air. At the same time, Snow's eyes widened in fear, as she noticed the pile start to move around and, as Wurmloch and Etoile felt, caused the nearby ground to shake. "Talk later," Wurmloch hastily said, and closed off the wormhole. "There's something behind us, isn't there?" Etoile suspected. "Likely so," Wurmloch answered. They turned simultaneously to see that the rock pile had become a rock monster instead!
Etoile stood ready, dukes up. Wurmloch, however, just crossed his arms. The rock monster, who's name is known as "Thardus", let out the resemblence of a roar and tried freezing the duo in ice pillars. After quickly dodging, Etoile darted around it to try finding a weak point; however, she found nothing. "I can't find a place to hit!" she exclaimed. "I can," Wurmloch responded. He brought forth a hand-held grenade launcher and started firing at one of Thardus' arm segments, using wormholes to make sure he hit it. However, this strategy was soon broken; Wurmloch busted the rock hard enough to reveal a blue core that although Etoile could see, Wurmloch was "blinded" by the radioactivity produced by the core. "Wurmloch!" Etoile called out. Turned around and covering his eye-beam, Etoile quickly figured that blue substance had to be destroyed to restore Wurmloch's vision. Thardus summoned up three rocks from below, and launched them towards Etoile. Brass knuckles equipped, she used these rocks to get to the exposed core, pulling a 16-hit combo and destroying the core. Thardus stumbled backwards from the destruction, yet remained standing. With Wurmloch's vision restored, he could get back into the fight. "Repeat the pattern?" Wurmloch theorized. "Seems like it," Etoile replied as they avoided the monster's ball formation.
After about three minutes of tag team, things started looking prosperous for the duo; Thardus was losing his rocky arm and leg segments, and could barely get anything in. However, it wasn't about to give up so soon. It lifted its hands into the air, causing a dense fog to surround them all "What the-- I can't see!" Etoile exclaimed. "Keep going," Wurmloch replied as he busted open a shoulder-stone. "I can't fight alone." Etoile sighs, knowing she'd have a hard time dodging while being up close to the collosus. The fog wasn't as bad as she thought, though, and in just a few seconds she adjusted to her shortened range of view.
As the second shoulder-stone was being broken, Thardus got desparate and attacked faster. And for good reason, too; its giant chest-boulder was all that was left before it would fall apart. After Wurmloch finished his part, Etoile took to the stage. Tired but still willing to fight, she jumped at Thardus' chest-boulder and put all her strength into one punch, instantly shattering it to bits! With nothing left to keep it together, the monster's remaining rocks fell from their location and broke upon impact. "Whoo! We did it!" Etoile whooped in joy. As they looked back, they saw something peacefully glowing...
