Description Okay! A while ago some miserable troll ( or 'toad' or whatever such annoying online hecklers are called ) accused me of scanning a picture from an "old magazine" and trying to claim it was a photo that I'd taken myself. That pissed me the hell off as the toad evidently had no clue as to what my art is about or what any film type 'snapshot' photographs that I took several decades ago might look like after I scan them and apply
( supposedly 'crude' & 'primitive' ) digital effects to the scanned images before I share them here at DA.

Oh well,whatever!

This image IS scanned from an old magazine! ( 'Readers Digest' from October 1969 specifically ) I applied a border to it but otherwise that's exactly as it originally appeared forty-something years ago!

I liked how it looked and I wanted to share it!

Thanks for sharing the vintage ad; screw that toad When I was a kid in the 70s, I loved looking at the car ads in my grandparents National Geographic collection and an uncle's Playboy collection, both with issues from the 1950s-70s.

I like it, Dad bought one and gave it to my sister. We have fond memories of picking up people hitch hiking, we were able to fit 10 people in the vehicle. LOL good fun!

Lead Sled. Back in the days when real cars were more like aircraft carriers. Nice scan job.

Very cool. Lots of room but had the cornering ability of a drunken elephant and the turning radius of your average supertanker (my parents had a 1968 Catalina; same basic chassis as the Cadillac).

My uncle had this car. I had several rides in it. Magnificent elegance! When size mattered.

Nice car. Too bad it wouldn't fit in most parking spaces these days... but boy, were they roomy. Had a friend years ago who had a '75 Sedan de Ville, and that thing was massive. The back set had enough leg room for me to stretch my legs out, and being tall with long legs, that's no small feat in a modern automobile.
