This reminds me a lot of that scene in some cartoon movies where the hero and the villain meet for the first time and the villain tries to befriend the hero and then lure him astray with promises of wealth and/or power and/or floofy cuddles... In this case, we're looking at the beginning of this particular movie's most popular musical number, "Trust Me, I'm a Fox!"
