An Alternate Universe or AU is a universe where it is different from the normal story line or Cannon, as they like to call it. A goos example would be if Naruto was the son of someone else then his normal parents or Sasuke or Orochimaru never left Konoha in the first place or if the team placements are different then normal. That wouls be considered different or an AU.

Ah I see now! X) Thank you for explaining. Your OC is really interesting and I think it would be awesome if they met up! Masaki is always traveling so them meeting would likely! ^^
