CHAPTER 24
*Nokomis's P.O.V*
*The Destruction of The Wools-Brooke County Hospital*
"OH MY GOD!!" I scream as fall to the grounds.
I'm shaking.
Tears stream down my face.
I grab my car try to pull myself up.
Cop cars, abulances, and fire trucks scream in my ears and they pull up in the parking lot.
The people from the abulances rush over to me.
"Are you alright!?" They ask.
"I'm fine" I say. "I'm fine"
"Good" A detective comes up to me. "We're going to have to interogate you ma'am"
"YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO INTEROGATE ME?" I yell.
I was shocked. I was just viewed as a suspect!
"Ma'am, please-"
"DO I LOOK A MA'AM TO YOU? I'M NOT SOME OLD LADY SITTING ON HER PORCH SUSPISIOULY GIVING LEMONADE AND CANDY TO LITTLE KIDS! I'M 26!"
"Look" He says. "I didn't mean to affend you but-"
"NO BUTS DETECTIVE, SIR!" I cut him off and point my finger in his face.
"Miss, we're going to have to restrain you if you dont get your hand out of my face."
"I JUST WITNESSED THE PLACE WHERE I WORK CRUMBLE DOWN! SO GO AHEAD, RESTRAIN ME!"
"Look, we don't to harm you but calm down"
I wipe my tears and clench my fists.
"Don't" I say. "Tell me. To calm down."
I charge at him, thousands of eletric bolts strike me.
And it all turns black.
*16 Hours Later*
*1:27am*
I slowly open my eyes.
I realise I'm in a cell.
I try to rub my head but then I notice I'm cuffed.
"What?" I say to myself in groglily voice.
"Well" The detective says as I turn and see him outside the cell. "You almost punched me in the face so we had to, you know..."
"Electricute me?"
"WELL" He says as he searching for words. "You're absolutley right."
"When will I get out?" I ask impaticently.
"About now." He unlocks the cell and walks in. He grabs my hands and uncuffs me. "We're going to have to interogate you. Not because you're a suspect, just because you were there when the hospital collapsed."
"I get it" I stand up and follow him to the interogation room.
He sits me down and he makes coffe from the coffe maker.
"Cream or sugar?" He asks.
"Cream, sugar gets me way to heteck and it rasies my blood sugar."
"Ah" He says as he hands me the coffe. "Well I never caught your name, miss" He raises a eyebrow and smiles.
"Well I'll be glad to tell but if you stop flirting with me I'll be happy to ablige" I say as he blushes and chokes on his coffe.
"Right." I say. "You were saying?"
"I'm Mike Hasbrooke an you?"
"Nokomis Nichosin"
"Nakomis is an odd name"
"Nokomis." I correct.
"I know, I said Nakomis. Duh, your name."
"No" I say as I'm getting more and more agitated. "NOkomis"
"NOOOOkoomissss?" Mike streches out the word.
"NO! NO-KO-MIS!" I yell.
"I SAID THAT!" Mike screams.
"Fine" I say and slouch in my chair. "Do your investigation, Detective Hasbrooke" I roll my eyes.
"Whatever you say, Purple-Hair"
"Really? You're going to judge me because of my-" I stop myself and think 'Arugeing with an idiot doesn't slove anything. It justs make you madder.' "Nevermind, work"
"Well, before we got to the scene did you see anything suspicous or out of the ordinary?"
"When I was in my car hiding I saw a large group of-"
Mike's radio went off with a person shouting.
"MIKE! GUNFIRE WAS HEARD IN A FOREST 20 MILES FROM THE WOOLS-BROOKE HOSPITAL SITE!"
Mike picks up the radio and says: "I'll be there" He slams the radio on the table and says to me: "You can leave now. I've got actual work to do. "
"Great. Bye, bye now!" I clench teeth and take a sip of my coffe.
As I'm getting up I hear the radio speak again.
"REPORT OF A WOMAN RUNNING FROM THE INTAL CRIME SCENE. I'M RECIVING INFROMATION THAT IT'S SHERFFI'S QUEBEC LIZOTTE'S ASSIANT, JULIET CAMPTON!"
Quebec Lizotte?
The Canadian guy from earlier today? That woman in the room with him?!
Maybe I might be closer to this case then I thought.
