The Second Cover for Heart of Time written by Amy BlankenshipMy current job is to create the cover and the inside art for Amy's books. The first Heart of Time cover was done a while ago by another artist. When Amy found a new publisher she was asked to have another cover done for it, so this is what came about.

Materials - 8 1/2"x11" Computer paper, mechanical pencil, black ink pen, Crayola colored pencils, and Prisma colored pencils

The piece is beautiful, and while you may get angry at me for saying this, within the Inuyasha fandom, Amy's laughed at and called a hack because her story is just a transplant of her fan fic. All she apparently did was use the Find and Replace buttons.
I've never actually read her books, but, admittedly, I'm a little insulted that she'd use the Inuyasha fandom to write a story that was meant for the fandom, and then go ahead and publish it as if she'd thought of all the concepts herself.
It would've been one thing if it was an Alternate Universe, but...
:wince: Sorry if you really didn't want to hear that, but hearing about Amy is something that I, as a fan fiction writer, hear a lot about.
It doesn't mean I don't like the piece, though, and it doesn't mean I still don't think you're an incredible artist... I suppose I just wanted to be a fair reviewer to you.
I'm not saying Amy's a bad person, I'm just saying I found that a little, well...ridiculous.
