Aru and Meia did not start out all that good, which put Meia onto his bad side, and made her one of his victim for teasing. But actually, he wants to help her become more of a good leader than she is right now, since he finds her quite immature for a leader (Coz she tries to act mature). He often tells Meia to just act like her normal self rather than calm and cool, since he admires leaders who acts like themselves, not another person. He has a mixed feeling about her, but is now starting to open up to her more.
