I'm using the same dock now and don't see no differences. Maybe it's just you, who see it differently. But it's all the same to me.

Yes, I do see a tiny ~2px line there, but it doesn't necessarily mean that there's a difference between these two docks. As I said, it could be just some kind of a weird reflection that affects the bottom line to act like this. Try using different backgrounds and see for yourself how it's gonna turn out.
Anyways, I don't see a big problem here. It's just a tiny element that actually means nothing.

I've tested it in about 8 different walls, each of them with different colors and that ~2px line appeared in all of them!
I actually love that ~2px line, so there's no way I want to get rid of it!
I am only curious about this specific dock behaviour on my Mac... haven't seen it elsewhere before!

First of all, it's always my pleasure to discuss the subject with a gentleman like yourself.
The second thing, I don't think you're hallucinating, because I've got the same tiny thingy on my dock, check this out: [link]
Now I'm thinking, maybe we use a newer version(?) of this particular dock and the author of this thread, Seitaaaro, uses another version with a different bottom line, which is kinda longer?

That could be a perfectly reasonable explanation... makes sence to me!
I have 2 more theories, but I prefer yours:
- we applied the dock with a different app that somehow influences the dock behaviour (crazy explanation)
- our screen size and/or resolution is different, so the dock's behaviour is different (plausible explanation)

Either way, do you also prefer "our" dock with the 2px line like me?

NOTE: Seitaaaro, I hope you don't mind us discussing this on your dev... do you also have a theory?

Because there is no message from dA System, I did not notice your discussions.

To tell the truth, the same problem appears on my dock.
We can't see 2px line because the the color of wallpaper is light on this screenshot.
However, we can see the line on my another screenshot, for example [link] or [link] .

As I said before, in my opinion, the most reasonable explanation for this artefact is that we just have another version of this dock with a different bottom line or background image which cause this tiny irregularity. No big deal anyway. I personally don't mind this "gap" and think it's irrelevant.

I hope we aren't bothering the author of this dev.
