The colours fit very well together. And it's a nice photo of the bird. You were lucky to capture him Usually birds fly away too quick ...

Yep, it's good to take as many pictures as possible in such situations. You never know how they turn out. And then you have enough to chose the best photo
Hm, too bad the birds never returned to that place

Yes, that's really sad. But every time I go there, I'm looking out for them They will return!
One or two years ago we had a bullfinch in the bushes in front of our balcony. Then the bushes were destroyed (because it was much work to keep them tidy) and all the birds were gone We were so sad, because if we're sitting now on our balcony we're looking at an ugly wall No birds any more...

I keep my fingers crossed for you so that you see the bullfinch again
Oh, that's sad with your bushes. If you have enough space, you can put some plants on your balcony, thouh. Sometimes I see even little trees and high grass in small pots. Birds probably won't build a nest in there, but it makes the sourroundings look nicer.

Yay, thanks!
Oh, we have many plants on the balcony, my father like them very much. We had a nest there, two times, but the second time the bird didn't stay there The first time, we "cared" for them: we were trying not being too loud, not near the nest and we were looking out for unfriendly birds and stuff like that. But we couldn't really use the balcony any more... Mother bird was always watching us nervously, if we sat there, drinking coffe...
I hope they'll come back one day, although my Mom is very happy, that she don't have to be so cautious any more...

Sounds exciting with the birds on the balcony. But I can also understand your mom that she doesn't always want to make sure not to disturb the birds while being on the balcony.
Maybe the birds return, or build a nest somewhere close where you can observe them.

He looks like he´s standing guard
We now have a pair, male and female, who are visiting our garden and bird table everyday . The female eats, the male stands look-out and then vice versa and then they fly off together.
They´re lovely birds haven´t seen one all winter also a "Kernbeiser" hadn´t seen one of them before either spectacular beak

Oh, you're right!
An in some way he was doing this, because the female was in the bushes nearby.

Ooohh, that's great!! Would like to have the two of them in a garden too! It must be great to see them this near!

I never saw one of them One time my prof said, that there was one in the tree, but I couldn't spot it. Very disappointing for me. But I found an european goldfinch! And it's not yellow, I was really confused because of the english name until I found out, that there are very different birds with this name

My friend´s name is Stieglitz = Goldfinch, she bought my drawing off me framed it and gave it as a present for her daughters birthday.
Mydrawing of a Goldfinch was golden brown, yellow, red and black but I suppose there must be many of varieties of different colours. Isn´t nature wonderful

This kind of goldfinch is the one I know!
But there's one which is really "golden" and I didn't knew it. Thought they would all be this way...

Nature is great!! I'm taking sooo many pictures right now, some day they'll be all here
