First Deviation of 2008!

This is one of my ideas I have been toying around for a while Since I am really passionate about water and underwater life, I have always thought the biggest nuisance about swimming was that you constantly had to come up to breathe.

So, I have been sketching quite a lot of these underwater hybrids. They have basic human forms, but naturally blue skin, deep blue or green-ish hair, gills and a fish-tail (similar to a mermaids). They have finned fingers (four fingers only) and fins on their elbows and the side of their tail.

They are called Undinas.

This one's a young female, presumably scouting or hunting XD
The colouring was killed by the scanner...it was really difficult/annoying to create all the different shades of blue. it doesn't look like water (sighs)

Well, here's a first successful one More to come later.
