xD well this is an extremely extremely retardly late gift for asm. to say thanku for my piccy and to celebrate kyo's face in general : D
At first I was frustrated as hell trying to capture his features, but once I was happy....enuf with it XD it became kinda fun. I liked the painting bit for once O.o I think its cause I went for the messy attack approach XD seemed to fit ^-^
It was partly difficult to do his right hand side, because I only worked from one photo ref and it wasnt too clear where his body went and I like...completely guessed his ear, thats why it looks like a tard. *bows to sams almighty kyo facial shape knowledge* XD
I shall post it out to you asap : O well.....thats if ya dont hate it X'D

but i like that you experiment with different style as well - it kinda buggs me when someone stays doing the same exact thing every time

yeah well a style is like a selling point when your an artist. Because people recognise when you make something. Its not really a bad thing. As it gives you a kind of signature haha

no im more depressed... i was hoping it was a digital media like painter or something more forgiving than paint.....
fantastic use of blues to accentuate Kyo's attitude and that's one of the best non-sceanery backrounds ive seen in ages.

wtf digital media is harder for me O-O so much easier to get the effects with traditional media ! X'D
I did touch it up in photo shop but that was only to darken to black to pure black, instead of the bobbly grey the scanner made it out to be.

yes lol. I can only draw realism from a photo referance. If realism isn't drawn from some sort of referance theres no way it can come up to standard's it just turns out stylized.......well unless someone has amazing perception skills and photographic memory O-O
But anyway i find its not a good idea to attempt realism without a photo ref. It never goes according to plan. Its a pity jrockers aren't walking about on the streets or we wouldn't have to look up shots of them -_-;

Lol, that's true. It's only reasonable to draw realism from a photo reference for the rest of us. But a friend of mine's actually claims to have photographic memory. 
I'd love to see Kyo walking down my street.

haha no i dont have a photographic memory......id be extremely happy if I did. cause i wouldnt forget so much >.0 and exams would be a hoot.
My friend sent me about 100 saku kyo pics so its somewhere burried in those photo's and i dont know if its uploaded anywhere....
