Really nice theme! If I ever get round to building another Arch Linux build again I'm gonna use this theme! So very clean and simple! ^_^

hey that's me again sorry. when i use [lxappearance] to change icons theme to Smokikon, it's show me "(lxappearance:20256): Pango-WARNING **: failed to choose a font, expect ugly output. engine-type='PangoRenderFc', script='common'" . Is that means that I have no any fonts for that?

I love this theme but the only thing keeping me from using it is the deal with GTK3 apps. If you could make a port for us XFCE users that have those apps that don't theme well, we would love you eternally.

This is the theme that really made me fall in love with Linux. If it could be updated for GTK 3 somehow, I'd die of joy. Then again, it seems you haven't been very active on dA for a while. Still, good memories here.

Great theme, love it for pidgin. So hard to find good dark themes, even though it's much better on your eyes.

What can I say.....just WOW. I'll be snapshotting my Ubuntu VM now I have this theme installed, and the smokikon icons just make it look a 1,000 times better still.
Does anyone have any advice on how to skin the system monitor panel applet as seen in the Bluespace II theme? One thing I miss is having borders around each of the sysmon indicators.

Hi, really old dA account so excuse all the dust if you look at my profile. Anyway, I went to the trouble of remembering my dA username/password for this comment so I best get on and post it.
Thanks so much for the best theme ever. It is pixel-perfect in gnome 2.x and even works pretty damn well in the gnome shell of gnome 3.0!
If anybody else was wondering how to get the window background to be used as the background of gnome-terminal (which makes gnome-terminal tie in better with the theme and look pretty darn sweet tbh), the image you want is:
Mirav2/gtk-2.0/Shadows/window-bg.png
Perfect. Thanks again!

As of Gnome 2.32.0 (I'm not sure what version of GDM2 it is), on Archlinux, using a GDM theme is a pain in the @$#. Does anyone know how to do this?

I know I'm a little late to this party, but this theme is great. I just wish there was a way to make chromium look decent within it.
I'm currently using the zenburn chrome theme, but if anyone knows anything better I'd love to hear about it.

The "userContent.css" is in the "Mira" folder. However, I don't know if it works with the current firefox versions since this one is from 2008 and I don't use ff anymore.
Fortunately you can find lots of dark-gnome-theme fixes for firefox on the net.
Here are 2 little howtos: [link] [link]
Maybe this howto will also work (seems outdated though): [link]

Great theme. Can I suggest more prominent markings for checked boxes and radio buttons? I'm finding they're extremely hard to make out.

THIS THEME WILL NOT WORK FOR saiME. Here's what i did. I downloaded it, changed the suffix to tar.gz, and executed it using theme installer. No good. It said, "trouble while extracting theme"
What am I doing wrong???

I use the lite version of Mepis called "antiX". antiX uses IceWM and Fluxbox for window managers. I'm so impressed with your work I've spent the time to port it to IceWM so IceWM users can enjoy a complementary theme for your Mira GTK. It's still a work in progress but go to [link] to see how it looks in IceWM.

solved it. In the conky file itself add -i after the call to conkyforecast.py

How do I change the values in conky weather to imperial from metric?
Thanks for all your hard work...I'm enjoying it.

I'm not sure but I think you need to run the conkyForecast.py in the conkyrc with the -i parameter.
More infos about the script are here: [link]

Oh this is great! I used the Anycolor addon for firefox (it claims to not be for linux, but you can install it from a different source than the Mozilla site), and set my toolbars to #262523 to match the theme, with a true blue font.
Truly awesome!

really nice design, but there are no pictures in my toolbar of all apps i used this time.
screenshot: [link]
also the dark background of my oo-writer page isn't really good looking.
and there are some bad things in firefox: workaround userContent.css isn't pretty: file, checkbox, radio element cannot be designed and the background color of the address and google seach field shouldn't also be dark...
screenshot: [link]
Could you try to solve these "problems"?
π: 0 β©: 1
sen7 In reply to WasserDragoon [2009-02-26 07:21:23 +0000 UTC]
