Description
I realized that I've never drawn Luna before, even though she is my favourite character. So here, have some Luna art :3This is also my first time using colored pencils! I just experimented as I went along, so critique is welcome
I should have used actual drawing paper for this, instead I made the mistake of using my sketchbook. And after awhile the page began to curl and warp from being worked so much 0__o

Oh my gosh that's so funny! xD I had seen the Resident Evil episode but never new they had made more about different games. Somehow those voices seem to fit them surprisingly well xD

I don't exactly remember which colors I used on each part... But I'm fairly sure I used Indigo Blue mainly for the face and the "night sky" part of the mane. And then I used various blues and purples for the rest. I also used white to blend everything together and pronounce the highlights (and used up nearly half of the pencil! 0__o). I hope that helps, sorry I don't remember the rest of the colors. I have a fairly large set and just pick up whatever color seems right, but don't really pay attention to the names :/

Thanks. They actually are a lot easier to use than I imagined them to be, which is very rare with traditional mediums (for me, at least :3). But I'm glad you like it!

The best part of this picture, in my opinion, is the partial transparency of the outer portion of her mane; very nicely done.

yeah it turned out great! The only suggestion I have for this would be to make the distribution of sparkles in the mane and the stars in the sky not so even. If you cluster them in some places and leave the sparse in others, they will end up looking more natural.

Ah I definitely see what you mean, right now you can see the "rows" of stars with how I drew them. I'll pay more attention to that in the future. Thanks for pointing it out!

This work looks amazing! Coloured pencils are my weakness and I wouldn't say it's your first time if you hadn't said so. They somehow add that magical "something" that makes an art look way less flat and natural.

I had honestly given up every time I tried to use them in the past, but I read up on different techniques and decided to buy a more quality set (Prismacolors). But now I really like them! They have a nice feel (the "waxy-ness" was hard to get used to at first) and they do seem to have that magical "something" :3

I just couldn't keep this away from my favorites, either. I do suggest that you work with the colored pencils more often, and yes, drawing paper does help.
With the colored pencils, it has the more traditional look, as well that it gives a kind of definition to detail of her coat. I personally prefer using colored pencils at times, for that digital drawing makes things a little boring.
