Thanks! The trick to using Apophysis are the triangles in the Transform Editor and tweaking them to your heart's content. Finding the right combination or sweet-spot can take some time, but there are a lot of good tutorials on the Web. Check out these links: [link] . [link] , [link]

pretty high quality for a jpeg, i'm surprised at how well the reds are preserved. good thing too, that nukeflaring red/yellow glow is most awesome

while the structure is technically really interesting, i know you've keener composition skills... of course this is just my opinion, but the piece wants to be a bit taller and have some reflective symmetry to go with those circles.
