BARIŞ'S TOYS (2010) - Animation Short FilmAn animation short film about a world of a child which turns dream into reality. Short fantastic adventure of nature's fertility, life's excitement and war's destruction.
Barış saw that every seed his grandfather planted become a pink flowered tree. After that he believed that anything planted in the soil can grow and be beautiful.
Bariş inspired by this and digged his carousel in the soil. The next morning he saw a fair ground at the place where he digged his carousel. He started having fun on the carousel. But this happiness didn't last for so long. The following day was going to bring war, destroy and bomb everything.
All the colors fade and turn gray.
At first Barış became so disappointed. But then he decided not to give up hope. He will start to dig everything in soil again to make them green.

I think you combined 2D and 3D very well. Your 2D seems to animate alot smoother than your 3D (example, the leaf flying by him)

My critique: Very nice style and beautifully directed. Good story idea, growing all his toys, although I didn't understand where the jets came from. There was no hint of war prior to this, so why would someone send jets to blow up his theme park?! I agree with Sprybug that the boy's head wasn't as endearing as it could be, and given the smooth lighting and shapes of everything else, did look out of place, but I appreciate that's a matter of taste. Overall though, a very good little animation!

Very cool. I really liked it. The only complaint I really have is the slow-motion part when he sees what happened to his carnival. It just seemed kinda awkward.

Great idea! Character animation could've been better but still there a a lot of wonderful shots. And man I would've like to see Barış's toy solders kicking those motherfuckers buts! Congratulations!

The music is really of the rythm and it loops on incorrect time... it really freaks my mind out
