i actually took the picture straight up -- you're seeing them against a brick wall/against the beginning of the siding above it. i'm pretty sure not many other people even noticed they were hanging out there!

they're still hanging out there and i see why now that it's dark -- they're about 1.5-2' from a light and there are little bugs coming right to them. clever, clever bats
